I had been meaning to post on this as soon as the game was done but I believe I just got lazy…and the game was a disappointment in my opinion.
The game started while I was at work. My boss had the game on but I could only catch glimpses of it when I walked by. By the time I had gotten home, Spain had managed to score a goal, making it Spain 1, Germany 0.
I had high hopes for Germany though. I continued to watch the game and laugh at the ways people wiped out. I really don’t get how people in America like football over soccer. Soccer is waaay more amusing! 
The game started to get boring after a while unfortunately. As soon as one side got the ball, they lost it fairly quickly. There were some really amazing chances for Spain to score but Germany’s goal keepers wouldn’t let them have it. That and I think Germany got a little lucky too. However, the lack of goals was getting kind of boring. I was losing hope in Germany. They started to look like Russia did when they played Spain in the semi-finals. At one time I just gave up and started reading and only looked up every once in a while.

Spain: 1 Germany: 0
Germany had amazing defense in my opinion. Hopefully they will make it to the final next year. Congrats to Spain though!! Their story is almost like one from a fantasy. A team that is ranked extremely low makes it to the semi-finals and is forced to wear yellow, an unlucky color for them, and still manage to win. I wanted Germany to win, but I think Spain is just as deserving.
Now I have to figure out when the Euro 2009 starts.
